Ingredients
Dough
500 g flour 250 g butter 50 g powdered sugar 1 ts salt 1 ts cider vinegar 7 Ts cold water
Stuff
4 o 5 apples(Granny Smith or green ones), pealed and finely sliced 1 ts cinnamon 100 g brown sugar 1 ts vanilla extract 50 g butter 3 Ts flour 2 Ts lemon juice

Dough Preparation
- In a bowl mix the flour, powdered sugar, salt and butter. Quickly add the water and vinegar. Using your hands mix til you get a smooth dough. - Divide the dough into 2 equal round pieces, wrap in film and put in the fridge for 1 hour.
- Make sure you get them out of the fridge 15 minutes before using them in order to avoid to have tough dough.
Stuff Preparation
-Mix the pieces of apple with the sugar, cinnamon and vanilla. -Put them pan on a medium flame, melt the butter and add the previous mixture. Cook til the apple is gold-coloured.
-Add the the flour and the lemon juice. Stir for 5 minutes and remove from the flame.
Pie Preparation
-Roll out one of the dough pieces into a greased tin (also on the sides of the tin).
-Prick it all over with a fork, put a cooking paper and add some pie weights (beans, lentils). Heat on the oven for 15 minutes
-Take the tin out of the oven, remove the paper and the weights, spread the apple stuff previously cooked over the dough.
-Roll out the second dough piece and put it on top. Make sure you close the dough on the sides (you can also wet our hands to close the dough).
-Make some holes on the dough. Use your creativity to make different shapes.
-Optional: Mix an egg yolk, 1 Ts water and 1 Ts brown sugar. Using a brush or a napkin, brush a light coating onto the dough for getting a nice color.
-Put into a pre-heated 356ºF (180ºC) oven for 35 or 40 minutes, til the dough is browned.
